Anyways... I was going to do a post on, um.. Right, Big Country! My favorite band.
Here comes the slightly boring part!
Prepare yourselves...
Big Country to me is the greatest band of all time. Coming out with album after album and even doing the sound track to a movie! Though also doing a few um, slightly silly things. Thank you record companies! For screwing my songs over!
Stuart Adamson (singer and partial guitarist) was born April 11th, 1955 and committed suicide in Hawaii due to drugs and depression on December 16th, 2001. WHY STUART!!! (I'd use a quote from Stuart little but i'm drawing a blank...).
They're first album "The Crossing" (even though the actual song "The crossing" didn't make the album, odd...) was wonderful and hosted many of their most famous songs. Later on in life Stuart Adamson moved to America from Scotland. Afterwards they kept putting out albums, like "Peace in Our Time." Though his looks changed a bit and he sounded less and less Scottish each year, the music stays amazing.
Even Maren likes some of their songs!!! Which kind of amazes me...
Anyways. If you like Scottish rock or have any good taste in music, listen to big country.
